Nick elbowed Howie in the side and asked, "How is it that we get yelled at but Bri and Kev's wives did not?"

 

     Howie just shrugged as they walked to the bar, "It's a woman thing."

 

     "I HEARD THAT!" Gina retorted without looking back at the men.

 

     Jocelynn sat at the table watching Gina walk over with 2 women over her glass of soda. Suddenly she felt nervous about all of this. Not only was it a blind date with a stranger, but a stranger and all 6 of his friends and HER sister. Jocelynn stood up once Gina and the ladies meet up with her at the table. She put on her most confident smile on, even though she felt like bolting for the closest door.

 

     "Jocelynn, I would like you to meet Kristen and Leighanne. Ladies I would like to introduce you to my lil' sister, Jocelynn." Gina said as the ladies all shook hands.

 

     "So your the infamous Jocelynn that Nick and Alex have been talking about." Kristen smiled, as the ladies waited for the men to return from the bar for their drinks.

 

     "You will have to forgive me, I don't understand. Nick and Alex were talking about me?" Joce asked with curiosity.

 

     "Oh yes," Leighanne answered. "Both the boys were at the studio this morning when they saw you. At least from what Nick told us. He seemed quite put out when he found out that it was you Alex was being set up with tonight. Nick and Alex have argued over a girl before."

 

     Brian walked up to his wife and handed her a glass of champange. "Here you go, Leigh." she said and then held a chair out for her to sit in. Then looked up to Joce. "Hey there, you must be Gina's sister. I am Brian."

 

     "Yes I am." Joce replied. "Nice to meet you."

 

     Howie then took it apon himself to do the formal introductions of Joce to Brian and Kevin. But when he got to Nick...

 

     "Hi, I am Nick." He said in a sexy voice with a crooked smile that could have broken a thousand hearts within a blink of an eye. Jocelynn returned the smile but her heart stopped when she saw Alex standing behind Nick. He was dressed in a pair of black slacks, a nice olive green dress shirt and a black leather coat, and he looked hot. She shook her head slightly and looked back at Nick. He too was dressed to impress in a pair of Khakis with a nice black shirt. But even with his smile, it didn't affect her the way Alex did at the moment from just looking at her. But Nick's eyes did send a thrilling chill down her back.

 

     "Nice to meet you Nick." She answered him. "I hear that you and Alex had a little disagreement about who I should be on this blind date with."

 

     Nick slightly blushed then smiled again, this time mischeviously. "Yeah well, I let him get away with it for now." He then leaned in closer to her and whispered in her ear before walking past to his chair and said. "But one slip, and I am going to make you mine."
 
     'What a peacock!' She thought as Howie then introduced her to Alex.

 

     Howie took Jocelynn by the waist and brought her closer to Alex. "And this is your date for the evening. Alex McLean, this is Jocelynn Edwards. Alex, fair warning if she is anything like her sister you are going to have alot on your hands. OUCH!" He cried out as Gina lightly stepped on his foot. "MMmm, see what I mean."

 

     Alex just stood there looking dumbfounded, yet once again. She looked even better then she had at the store. Wearing that green top that fitted her chest a lil snugly looked great with her dark auburn hair and her eyes. Which he had thought were steel blue at the store but now looked like a jade green. And even though the skirt was only slightly abover her knee, the way she stood with her left leg turn to the side made it look very inviting. He took in a quick breath and held out his hand to her. "Hi Joce. You look stunning tonight." He mannaged to let out. But when he touched her hand he felt an electrical surge threw him and knew that she felt it too by the look in her eyes.

 

     "You look very handsome yourself Alex." She said shyly as blush rose to her checks.

     Kristen and Leighanne were sitting next to eachother watching Alex and Jocelynn.

 

     "So do you think that Nick will give up on getting to Jocelynn?" Kristen asked Leighanne quietly as she took a sip of the glass of water Kevin brought to her.

 

     Leighanne leand more to her left toward Kristen and whispered back. "Tsk, I don't know, I would not be suprised if he did try. But I have a feeling that it won't matter much. Those two are so hot that they are going to start throwing off sparks. What do you think?"

 

     "I don't know. Nick seems to be quite determined to getting her. I think Nick might actually have a chance. Care to make a wager?"

 

     "$200 on Alex for me, sound good?"

 

     Kristen nodded. "Sounds perfect."

 

     Kevin turned to the ladies wondering what was being said. "What are you two talking about?"

 

     "Nothing Kevin, just womanly things." Kristen smiled at him.

 

     "You buy that, Brian." Kevin asked behind the ladies.

 

     Brian leaned back behind the ladies and schuckled. "Heck no. They are never up to nothing."

 

     "Brian, shame on you" Leighanne pretended to be insulted. "I would never be up to anything."
 
     Brian just kissed his wife on the forehead. "Yea, right, whatever you say, Leighanne.

     Nick just sat there watching Alex and Jocelynn, he suddenly realized that it was going to be harder for him to get to her. But he would just bid his time and wait for Alex to do something stupid so he could slip in. Nick just didn't know what it was about Jocelynn that made him feel this way. She had such thick wavy hair that Nick just wanted to run his hands through and hold onto tight.

 

     Jocelynn suddenly became aware of the eyes on her and Alex. "Alex, I think that we should sit down and join everybody else. Don't you agree?"

 

     "Of course, after you." Alex held out his hand and pulled out her chair with the other and helped her sit into the chair. Then sat down next to her. "Shall we order?"

 

     Gina chuckled, "AJ, don't you think that you should first look the menu?"

 

     "Actually I already have a good idea of what I want." Alex replied while still looking at Jocelynn, who just looked down into the menu and blushed.

 

     "Oh my, I have never seen Joce blush before...." Gina laughed..

 

     "Bite me , Gi-gi." Joce glared at her sister threw clenched teeth.

 

     "Gi-gi? That is a new one." Nick said. "I will have to remember that one."

 

     "You do and you will die, Carter."

 

     Joce chuckled. "Oh really, I would love to see you live through that, Nick. She would smack those good looks right off you."

 

     Nick just slyly smiled at Jocelyn across the table. "Hun, there are things I would love to see you live through also. But I will leave that up to you to decide when."

 

     Alex just glared Nick, but then Jocelynn just smiled and slightly tilted her head."My Nickolas. Aren't we becoming a cocky little peacock? Well as my best friend China always said, if you really want to do something just do it, don't stand there talking about it. However I will warn you, if you cross this kitten, you will get more then just claws."

 

     Nick leand forward to her challenge but when he saw Alex's glare he leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms across his chest. "well I guess I will have to take your friend up on her words of wisdom. But another time another place."

 

     Jocelynn just shook her head and gently sqeezed Alex's leg under the table. "I have a feeling that I will be just fine." She then whispered in a sultry voice that only Alex could hear. "Right here."

 

     Alex took his hand and and lightly brushed his fingers along her wrist then layed his hand on her thigh and slowly inched it up. But she closed her tighs traping him from going up further. He smiled and the group went about thier dinner.

 

     About an hour later the group was talking over coffee and dessert. Alex and Jocelynn were laughing at a joke that Brian made about Nick, when Kevin decided to ask and talk about buisness. "So, Nick, Bone, how did recording go today?"

 

     Nick put down his drink. "It went well we got the parts and harmonies done that were needed. But Max still doesn't know what to do about that solo part."

 

     "Oh really?" Jocelynn chimmed in. "What are you guys working on. Max told me you guys are doing a remake of one the songs off last years album."

 

     Alex smiled at her. "Yesh, we are doing a remake over 'Climbing the Walls', we are thinking about makeing it a duet with a female artist but we haven't figured out who."

 

     "Really?" She asked. "That is my favorite song on that album. I just really like how you guys did the harmonies on that song."

 

     "Well tommorrow we are putting down the tracks in the morning, hopfully with the female artist that Max has in mind." Nick butted in."But we haven't met her yet. Maybe you should come on with-ooph" he stopped when Howie kicked him in the shin and mouthed. 'Don't I will tell you later.' Nick just filled in "I mean you should come out with us afterwards and go clubing."

 

     "Nick, I don't think they have that many clubs out here to do any really heavy clubbing around here in Wyoming." Brian said.

 

     "Besides, I was actually wondering if you wanted to go out and have a more private date tomorrow night." Alex suggested to Jocelynn.

 

     "Actually I would like that alot." Jocelynn smiled back, then scooted her chair back, "Well if you will please excuse me, I have a phone call to make to my son before he goes to bed." She then walked out of the resturant and outside.

 

     Nick noticed that she went outside without coat. "I think that I will take her a jacket so she won't get sick."

 

     Alex stood up before Nick even finished the sentence. "I don't think so, Nicky-boy. Tonight she is all mine."

 

     "First off you neadertals, my sister is no ones but her own and if she hears you say other wise i doubt you will be walking correctly. Second, I think it would be good for us all to get back to the hotel and our children."Gina suggested.

 

     "I don't have any children." Nick whinned.

 

     "Shut up Nick!" Everyone laughed.

 

     As everyone got ready to go, Alex hurried up to Jocelynn outside and covered her shoulders with his coat while he held hers. "I really don't want this night to end right now. Is there something we could do or somewhere we can go?" He asked as she hung up her cellphone.

 

     "Actually there isn't much around here unless you don't mind 'country bars'."

 

      Nick walked up and put an arm over each of thier shoulders. "So where to mi compadres?"

 

     Alex dug his heel into Nick's foot, but when Nick ignored it he just sighed. He would have to figure out a way to somehow get with Jocelynn alone eventually.

 

     Jocelynn smiled up at Nick and then back at Alex, "Well the more the merrier. I will call up my girl, China and see where the whole crew is tonight."

     Gina and Howie got into the limo with everyone after Nick, Alex and Joce decided to go to a cowboy bar in Joce's car.

 

     "So, who has bets on who?" Gina asked Kristen and Leighanne.

 

     LeighAnn patted her eyes and tried to look innocent. "Us, bet on who?"

 

     "Oh cut the crap Leigh. I want in!" Gina laughed.

 

     Kevin pulled out his mini notebook, "Well lets see, Kristen and Brian have 200 a piece on Nick, while LeighAnn and I have the same on Alex."

 

     Gina took out her purse and handed Kev the money, "Put me down for Alex."

 

      "This is so wrong." D, shook his head as he handed money to Kevin also. "But put me down for 500 on Nick."

 

      "HEY I thought you liked Alex and Joce." Gina said as the limo drove through the town.

 

      "I do sweety, I just luv to bet against you." He smiled as she threw her coat at him and they all returned back to the hotel.
