*Ring-Ring-Ring*

     "Hello?"

     "Hey baby girl, I miss you." A deep voice drawled.

     "Hold on," Kara sighed and covered the cellphone with her hand, she turned toward Trish and Lari who were listening to the lastest take of one of the new songs they were recording, "Hey guys, I have to take this." She said as she got up from her chair and left the studio room.

     When she made it down the hallway toward the kitchen of Lari's house in the Fallen compound she uncovered her cellphone, "Hi babe, I miss you to. Whatcha up to?"

     "We know..."

     Kara took in a deep breath and held it breifly before she said anything, "How did you find out?"

     "It seems that Nick hired a private investigator to hunt you all down. Why didn't you tell me about the baby?" His voice sounded hurt.

     "Honey, she made us promise. She didn't want the press to have a field day over this. They would hover her like flies, and that isn't safe for her or the baby. Why did Nick hire an investigator?"

     He paused, did she not know that Nick was the father? He carefully chose his words, "First, who is the father?"

     "I honestly don't know. Anytime Trish or I try to talk about it she automatically shuts down and goes back into the studio and works on the new songs. Why, do you have an idea?"

     "Kare-Bear, I think that you should talk to her about it and find out. You don't have much time."He said in a whisper.

     "What do you mean?"

     "Leighann has Brian making plans for us all to come out there, tonight. We are all flying to Denver from our places, and meeting with in the next 6 hours to drive over to your compound. So you have less then 6 to prepare for this disaster to start."

     "You ALL are coming here? Lari is going to freak?!"

     "Do they know about US, sweety?"He asked.

     "Have you told the guys about US, deary?" She retorted in a half laugh.

     "Fair enough. But none the less, whatever is going to go down it's going to be big. And you and Trish need to know everything that Lari knows in order to help her and that baby. There are going to be alot of questions demanded from her, and you might need to answer some for her so she isn't so pressured. Even I have questions, but all of the fellas are hurt from you guys cutting us all off. LeighAnn, more so then any of us."

     "Yes, your right. I am going to go talk to her, and this time we won't let her 'dodge the bullet' so to speak. Call me when you guys land, I will make sure everything is ready here at the compound."

     "Ok baby, I will, I love you, Kare-Bear."

     "I love you too, Alex. Talk to you in a while."

      "Buh-bye."He said and they hung up.

     Kara turned around and walked back down the hall, she brushed her blonde hair away from her face. She lightly knocked on the door of the studio before she walked in and pulled Lari away from the sound board on the rolling chair where she sat. And looked her directly in the face, "We need to talk, chica."

     Lari looked up with her golden eyes, "Dear lord woman, what now? I took my prenatal pill, my iron supplements, I drank all of my juice," She held up the empty apple juice bottle to prove it, "Is there anything else you want to nag me about?"

     "They are coming and we need to know everything."

     Standing up Trish nearly fell over, "Whoa, you mean THEY-they? Took them longer then I thought it would."

     "Shut it, Trish. How do you know they are coming?" Lari asked, her voice slightly trembling.

     "Because Alex just called me to tell me that they know about the baby and are coming. Seems that Nick hired a P.I. and when Leigh found out she called everyone up to haul ass here. So you want to start explaining my first question? What did NICK hire a P.I. to find where the compound was?"

     Lari looked down at the floor as a tear fell down her face, "Because he was the one I was seeing behind your backs during the Breaking the Silence Tour last year. And..." She couldn't continue as her shoulders started to shake.

     Trish leaned over her from behind, "He's the father isn't he?"

     Nodding she took in a slow breath to calm her breathing, "Yea, he is. I found out the week after that whole Arie thing went down. We had been together for all those months, he promised never to betray me, never to hurt me and he did in the worst way. I wanted to raise the babies alone, rather then to ever see him again, much less know about them."

     Kara kneeled in front of her best friend and held her hands in her own,  "Well hun, I hate to tell you this, but you have less then 6 hours to get ready to deal with him and the other boys. But we will help you get through this together, you just have to fill us in on everything, on your reasons, and we will go from there."
