Three young women sat around a large table in the conference room waiting for their meeting
to begin. They looked so different that you wouldn't have known they were not a pre-fabbed group. The one on the left had
thick wavy dark auburn hair that hung to her mid-back with thin platinum blonde streaks in it, eyes that seemed to change
from blue to green to brown at random but were carefully hidden by her silver framed sunglasses. The girl in the middle had
shoulder length dark brown that was pulled back on a ponytail at the base of her neck, her blue eyes were tired from being
in the conference so early in the morning. Her fingers were fidgeting with a tube of chapstick as a stran of hair fell into
her face.
The final girl on the right had short blonde hair cut slightly above her shoulders with black
streaks in it. Her steel blue eyes were non-visible as her 'Get Er Done' trucker hat was tilted halfway in front of her face
and to the side. She was slouched in her chair, more then likely trying to catch some Zzz's waiting for the 'suits' to come
in.
"I didn't even know there were such things at a 6am morning meeting," The brunnette said as she
proped her head up on her hand, leaning over the table.
"I didn't even know there was such a thing as a 4 am wake up call," The blond grunted from under
her hat, "I thought it was a bedtime."
"Yeah, all because a lil Miss Someone here, takes next to forever to fuckin' get ready we had
to wake up early," The red head complained hinting to the brunttee.
"Well excuse me Sin, but not all of us can pull off the 'Hungover' look as well as you do," She
said defensivly.
"I am not hungover. I haven't had enough time to be hung over.." Sin said with a half laugh.
"Haha, yeah Sin's still buzzed come to think of it." The blonde joked, looking at the 2 other
ladies, "Good gawd can that short shit drink."
"Shut it, Frack! I am not short," Sin pouted, crossing her arms across her chest and slumping
in her seat.
"Oh please, your bust size is more then your height. You are what 5 feet?" The brunnette asked
mockingly.
"5 foot 3 thank you very much. So anyway, wasn't this meeting suppose to start already, I mean
come on I would rather be on a tour bus trying to sleep then be in here. What time is it, Lish?" Sin asked leaning on Lish's
shoulder.
Taking a look at her watch, 'Lish' sighed, "It's quarter after. Come on, where the hell are these
people!"
As if on que a tall man walked in and laid his briefcase on the table, "Sorry to keep you waiting
ladies, but traffic on the way here this morning was a beeeyatch." He said using his trade diva voice for the final word,
which caused the girls to double over in laughter.
"Trey, it is is way too damn early for this shit," Sin managed to say between her fits of laughter.
Lish couldn't help but take the oppertunity to poke Sin in the side which caused the desired effect, her little snort, which
make them all laugh even harder.
Taking a sip of her coffee that was infront of her, 'Frack' finaly calmed down enough to speak,
"So couple of questions. What is this all about that made Sin and I come here, still buzzed? Why was it made so damn early?
And can we hurry this up 'cuz I need a damn smoke?"
"Okay first don't let the executives know that you are coming here from the clubs, they will fit.
Also I dunno what this is all about other then your next tour. As to why is is so damn early? Beats the hell outta me, I would
rather be in my hotel sleeping." Trey answered sitting next to them at the long table.
"Trey, what's the point of having you as a manager if you know less then we do. Explain to us
what the hell we are exactly paying you for, 'cuz I am just not seeing it." Lish commented as she once again re-applied her
chapstick.
"You know you love me, Amber." He laughed rolling his eyes.
He took a long look at his girls, they were the little sisters that he never had and never wanted. But he loved them dearly,
and knew their potential as a music group. He looked at the from left to right, always amazed at how down to earth they were,
not caring what cridics said, or how many copies their albums sold, they were just happy playing their music. As he started
to lean back in his chair the door to the office once again openned and in walked in 3 executives followed by 9 other people.
Trey stood up, along with the girls, waiting for everyone to take their places. 6 men sat across from them, the 3 'suits'
sat at the head of the table, and 3 huge men that made Trey who was 6 feet tall and 210lbs seem like a punk stood behind the
6 men.
He stuck out his hand to the man sitting directly infront of him, "Good morning, Trey Smith, I'm
Hidden Fate's manager"
The man nodded, "Johnny Wright. And these are-"
"We know who they are, you would have to be living under a rock on another planet not to know
the Backstreet Boys," Sin muttered a little loudly.
Trey sent her a quick glare, "You are going to have to excuse Jennisen, she is overtired. So if
you don't mind me asking just what is this all about?" He directed towards the executives.
"Well, since both the Backstreet Boys and Hidden Fate are getting ready to go out on tour this
year we thought it would be a good idea for you guys to do it together." The executive in the middle said, the other 2 nodded.
"Wait you had us wake up at 4 am to get our asses here to TELL us to do a double tour together?
You couldn't have done this at a later time?" 'Frack' asked sounding really annoyed.
"Kara-" Trey interjected, "Chill, I am sure that isn't all."
"Well actually no, we also want you guys to come up with a new song, both of the groups together.
Might be good for promotion." The executive said, waving off Kara.
"Look, we have never done anything because it was good for 'promotion' or anything. We write music
that is what we want to write and if it works as a duet it works but we don't set out with that idea." Amber told the executives
in a calm voice.
"Well consider this something new. And you have 2 weeks to get the song ready so it can hit airwaves
before your tour kicks off."
"So I take it we really don't have a choice in this." Jennisen said. "Well since it looks like
we are going to have to be buddies, I am Jennisen Sky, " She said holding out a hand to the man infront of her.
"I know, I am a fan of you ladies. I am Howie Dorough," He said shaking her hand.
"I know, fan here too." She smiled. The guys around him introduced themselves.
"Hey, Nick Carter here," one said leaning forward to shake the girls' hands.
"Kevin Richardson, my wife loves your guy's new cd."
"I am Brian Littrell, nice to meet you ladies."
"AJ McLean, what up?" Another said tilting his own trucker hat up.
"I'm Kara Deanio." Kara offered not wanting to move out of her comforatable set.
"Mornin', Amber Verdez, nice to meet you as well."
The middle executive cleared his throat, "Well now that we got formalities out of the way, lets
figure out how long we can make this tour and get the rehersals in tow."
Rolling his eyes Nick groaned, "Oh great, back to boot camp. Look can we kinda speed this up I
am hungary."
"Nick your always hungary." Kevin sighed shaking his head, "Okay so we have to figure out the
stage, the band, the dates, and travel. Let's hurry up before Nick here starts climbing the walls."
"Yeah and before Kara lights up a ciggy in here," Amber nodded in agreement.
AJ looked up at Kara, "Kind?"
"Marb. Lights," She answered
"Cool." He said.
"Yup," She nodded.
Jennisen looked at Howie , who was sitting across from her, from over her sunglasses "Stimulating
conversation, isn't it?"
Nodding Howie chuckled, "Yes, very much so."
"Oh shut it, Sin." Kara snapped, "Let's get to work."
