“Its Howie and Jenn!” Nick exclaimed incrediously. 

     A lot of sighs went around the table. “Nick, can you be any slower?” Brian asked with a laugh.

     Nick shrugged and grinned. “Looks like Howie’s gettin some!”

     “Shhhh, here he comes.” Leighanne motioned with her head.

     The group went back to looking at their menus. Howie walked around the table and sat down in his chair with a smirk on his face.

     AJ cleared his throat. “So uh D. where’d you go man? You’ve been gone for a good...” AJ glanced at his watch and chuckled. “Fifteen minutes.”

     The table erupted into fits of laughter. Howie looked around at the red faces uneasily. “Uhhh, I went to my car. I wanted to make sure it was uh, locked? Yeah locked.” Howie swallowed the lump in his throat.

     AJ smiled and shrugged. “Oh ok...did uh Jenn go with you?”

     Howie looked at the vacant chair to his right and cursed her under his breath. “Ummm, I didn’t even know she had went somewhere.”

     “Man I am STARVED, have we ordered yet?” Jennesin Asked with a wide smile as she plopped down beside Howie.

     “Jenn where’d you go?” Bree asked biting her lip.

     “Oh I went to the bathroom, there was a mad ass line!” Jennesin exclaimed opening her menu.

     Before anyone could reply to her statement the waitress came by.

     “Hi my name is Mindy and I will be your waitress this evening. Can I get you something from the bar?” She asked pen and paper in hand.

     Brian smiled and nodded. “Yes I think I will have a sex in the bathroom....BEACH. Sex on the beach!”

     Everyone at the table busted out laughing. Howie and Jennesin’s faces turned redder than a apple. Kristin smiled politely at the waitress and held up one finger. “Can we have a minute please?”

     Mindy nodded unsure of what was so funny, and walked to another table.

     “BRIAN!” Bree squealed with a smile.

     “Oops?” Brian smiled.

     “Ummm, what..ahem...are uh, you uh all laughing ahem about?” Howie asked clearing his throat several times.

     “Howie, cut the crap, we know you were screwing in the bathroom!” Kevin exclaimed smiling.

     “How did you KNOW?” Jennesin exclaimed.

     Howie bit his lip and spoke low. “They wouldn’t have known if you didn’t just tell them darling.”

     Jennesin felt the color drain from her face and fill with embarrassment. “It was HOWIE’S idea!”

     “WHAT? No it wasn’t! You were the one playing Footsie’s with me!” Howie exclaimed. “How did yall know anyway?”

     “I went to the bathroom, and you guys weren’t exactly quiet.” Bree replied with a smile.

     “Man Howie, couldn’t wait until you got home huh?” Nick asked with a smirk.

     “I could, she one the other hand couldn’t.” Howie said pointing his thumb towards Jennesin.

     Jennesin held up her hands in surrender. “OK, ok. Yes we just had a quickie in the bathroom. But haven’t any of you had to have it so bad, where you couldn’t wait? Huh?”

     The whole table turned over to AJ. AJ looked at the faces quickly and shook his head. “HEY! I have self control ok? Unlike some people.”AJ rolled his head to the his right side and glanced at the couple. “Right Jenn, D.?”

     “So, I’m hungry, lets eat.” Howie announce changing the subject quickly.

     Bree giggled at situation. It felt good to smile again, even if it was for a little while.



     “So, did you have a good time tonight?” AJ asked throwing his jacket over the back of the couch.

     Bree nodded and smiled. “I did actually. Tonight was a lot of fun. But I think I’m going to finish my article and then go to sleep.”

     “Are you going to work tomorrow?” AJ asked.

     Bree reached the first step of many and turned around to shrug. “I don’t know. I need to. But I am scared.”

     AJ walked to her quickly. “Don’t be scared, he wont hurt you.” AJ pulled her hand and placed it on his heart. “I swear.”

     Bree smiled and kissed his cheek. “Thank you.”

     AJ smiled watching her walk up the stairs, and turned around and began walking to lock his front door when he heard the most god awful scream, coming from up stairs.
