While he read Garfield and Friends, he heard heavy footsteps coming toward his direction of the house. As he closed the newspaper and folded it over he saw the frame of his best friend in the door way. His kacki pants were wrinkled, his t-shirt rumpled and faded, both looked like he wore them the day before. His hair was all a mess and his eyes were sollem. All in all, he looked better then usual.

 

     Brian looked at him, "How are you feeling today, Nick? Ya look like you were hit by a mack truck."

 

     Nick just shook his head and walked behind the oak desk by the bay window. He stood there for a moment staring at the stables, "Where are Leigh and Sierra?"

 

     Brian stood up and walked across the room to stand by his friend, nodding toward corral area, "Leigh is taking Sierra on that pony of yours. So what ya go there in your hand that had you out all this time?"

 

     For a moment Nick watch Brian's wife and their 4 year old daughter walking the pony around with his foreman, Scott, "He found her." was all that he could say.

 

     "Who found who?" Brian asked. "Her as in HER? As in Lari?" He asked taking the portfolio from Nick. Nick walked away from Brian as Brian started to open the it. He threw him self on the couch as Brian sat at the desk.

 

     "Yea, as in Lari, from Fallen Angel, Lari."

 

     Brian looked up from the pictures of her that laid in front of him. He looked up at Nick, "How did you get these? Have you even seen these?"

 

     Nick shook his head, "Nope, I had a good friend of mine find out where she was. I mean no one in the media cares because she, Kara,  and Trish are working on their next album. So the factor that none of them have been seen isn't that big of an issue."

 

     Brian fliped a few more pictures, then stopped. "What the hell! Nick, she's PREGNANT! LIKE DUE PREGNANT!"

 

     Nick's head jerked back, "WHAT?!" As he dove across the room to the desk, swipping the photos from Brian's hand. He looked at the pictures, Lari sitting in the porch with Kara and Trish. Lari kneeling in the garden of the compound. And in all of them, a very swollen belly was very noticeable. And judging by the dates on the back of the pictures, would mean she would be due with in a month.

 

     She was pregnant, she was pregnant with his child and had managed to keep it a secret from the world! She kept it a secret from him!

 

     "Hey there fellas. Whatcha got there?" Leighann asked as she walked into the silent room. "Sierra is in the kitchen with Scott getting carrots for the horses." She looked from Nick to her husband, neither saying a word, then she noticed Lari's name on the back of the pictures Nick was holding and it was dated 2 days ago. "You guys heard from Lari?" Her voice was fill with so much hope.

 

     During the Backstreet Boys 2005 -2006 world tour an band called Fallen Angel joined them as an openning act. For Lari, Trish and Kara it was all a big adjustment. But Lari had the hardest time adjusting to tour life. Leighann sort of took her under her wing, and helped her get used to it. They became best friends, but when she suddenly stopped talking to not only the Backstreet Boys but to her as well she knew something was up. She quickly took the photos from Nick and flipped through them.

 

     When she saw Lari and her pregnancy, the photos fell to the floor. She looked up and slapped Nick across her face so hard that the noise echoed in the office. "You son of a bitch! You did this, you should have told everyone right away!" She yelled at him.

 

     Brian jumped up at the sound of his wife swearing. "Leigh, it's not like Nick had anything to do with this." He looked at Nick who just looked at the ground. "Did you?"

 

     Nick couldn't raise his eyes to Brian. "I - I -didn't know she was  pregnant - I - I'm a daddy. I am sorry."

 

     Leighann sighed, "No, I am sorry, Nick."

 

     "No, Leigh you were in the right. I should have told the guys, I should have told you all the truth. Lari, and I had a secret relationship the time we were on tour together. But it was more then that, there were promises, there were plans. And I - I "

  

     "You lost it with the Arie situation?" Brian asked, as all the pieces fell into place. Ever since Lari and the rest of Fallen Angel pulled themselves from the guys, Nick had sunk into a depression. During the European tour Nick rarely went out, rarely smiled and started to obsess about getting ahold of Lari. It was so obvious, and Brian, Kevin, AJ and D. had no clue. Brian looked at his wife, "You knew about them?"

 

     She nodded, "Yeah, Lari told me right before we all found out about Arie and Nick. She made me promise not to tell anyone, not to say a word. She said she had something important to tell Nick, I guess we now know what. Now what we all have to do is go to her, and help her. If I know Lari, I know that she is terrified." Leighann said as she turned to door and walked out,

 

     "Bri, make the arrangments needed for us to get where ever it is she is hiding. Nick, you call the rest of the crew, and you explain what is going on and see if they want to come with. I have a feeling Lari is going to need us all and you are going to need D. and Kev to protect you from her killing you."She called out from the hallway.

 

     Nick looked at Brian, "I don't know if I can do this."

 

     Brian shrugged in sympathy, "Well it looks like you have no choice but to. Start making the phone calls," He said as he handed Nick the cordless phone off the desk.

 

     Nick started to dial the 1st number that came to his head, "Hey Bone, yeah. I have to come clean, I know the reason why Lari and the girls left us all..."
